Denise Trochei

I have always been a storyteller, creating poetry and fiction since childhood. My work as a Masters-level Social Worker assisting elders facing life challenges helped broaden my perspective. Then, after receiving my first video camera– a tape-driven SD beast– I got hooked into visual storytelling.

Whether using keyboard or video camera, I strive to showcase people and nature into pleasing narratives. Several of my shorts have been featured in film festivals. My first novel, a sci-fi thriller titled Out of Time was published in 2020, and a murder mystery, Deadly Passage, is just out. Michael Snouffer

I have been photographing for more than 60 years, and I am still fascinated with the magic of capturing the moment, whether it be the light through the trees, a wildflower blanked in dew, a sunset, or an amusing street scene.

I have had a number of careers over the years, including photo journalist and photography instructor. Around the turn of the century I moved away from black and white film, silver halide papers and the darkroom to color, digital and Photoshop. My photographic interests include nature, travel and the street. I enjoy being a tourist, including in my home town.

All photographs are printed on Hahnemuhle fine art papers using Epson UltraChrome Pro10 archival inks. Print sizes up to approximately 13.5″ x 20″ on 17″ x 22″ paper stock. Prices vary by size. Please inquire.
